Peer-review Process
The journal "Podilian Bulletin: agriculture, engineering, economics" adheres to rigorous peer review procedures to ensure the quality, scientific reliability, and relevance of published research to the journal’s thematic focus.
Initial Editorial Evaluation
All submitted manuscripts must comply with the journal’s formatting and content requirements. Manuscripts are first reviewed by the Editor-in-Chief and members of the editorial board to check:
- compliance with the journal’s scope;
- adherence to submission guidelines;
- compliance with ethical standards.
Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be returned to the author for revision or rejected without further review. Authors are notified of receipt, return, or rejection of their manuscript via email.
Peer Review
All materials submitted for publication undergo peer review by qualified specialists in the relevant field. The journal uses a double-blind review system, ensuring the anonymity of both authors and reviewers.
The purpose of external peer review is to ensure the scientific quality, originality, and relevance of the research through evaluation by independent experts.
Based on the review, reviewers may recommend one of the following decisions:
- Publish as submitted — the manuscript meets the journal’s requirements without changes.
- Publish after minor revisions — the editorial team will make necessary corrections.
- Return for revision — the manuscript requires substantial improvements; it may be resubmitted after revision.
- Reject — the manuscript does not meet the journal’s standards, ethical requirements, or scope.
Each manuscript is reviewed by scholars who usually hold a doctoral degree or possess equivalent research experience. The peer review process is confidential. Reviewers are selected based on professional competence and are expected to provide objective and constructive feedback in accordance with ethical standards.
The final publication decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief based on reviewers’ recommendations and the editorial board’s assessment. Authors are informed of the outcome and, if necessary, receive reviewers’ comments.
Review Timeline
The review period may vary; however, the editorial team strives to ensure timely processing of manuscripts. On average, peer review takes approximately 3 weeks.
