Abstract

The article examines the organizational and didactic foundations of the innovatization of the educational environment in physical education lessons in general secondary education institutions. It is emphasized that current transformations in education necessitate updating approaches to physical education, which must align with the competency-based paradigm and focus on developing students’ abilities to independently organize physical activity, analyze their own physical condition, and make responsible health‑related decisions. The article identifies key directions of innovatizing the content of physical education, including the integration of modern types of physical activity, the introduction of theoretical knowledge about health, and the use of interdisciplinary connections that contribute to forming a holistic understanding of a healthy lifestyle. Special attention is given to innovative teaching methods and technologies, including interactive, game-based, project-based, and coaching approaches, as well as digital tools such as fitness trackers, mobile applications, and video analysis of movement techniques. It is shown that the use of digital technologies ensures individualized learning, increases students’ motivation, and enables systematic monitoring of their physical development. The article highlights organizational aspects of creating an innovative educational environment, such as modernizing the material and technical base, flexible lesson planning, ensuring safe conditions, and enhancing teachers’ professional competence. The didactic conditions for effective implementation of innovations are outlined: combining traditional and modern teaching methods, focusing on students’ individual characteristics, applying motivational strategies, and organizing reflection. It is noted that the success of innovatization largely depends on the teacher’s readiness for change, their ability to adapt innovative technologies to the specific conditions of the educational institution, and their capacity to create a supportive psychological climate during lessons. The research results emphasize the importance of a comprehensive approach to modernizing physical education lessons, which will contribute to improving the quality of physical education and fostering students’ sustainable motivation for a healthy lifestyle
