Abstract

The article examines the problem of forming the professional competence of a modern media professional in the context of media space transformation, digitalization of communication, increasing information flows, and growing social responsibility of the media. It is substantiated that under contemporary conditions, the training of media specialists cannot be limited exclusively to the development of practice-oriented skills in content production, but must also include the formation of analytical thinking, methodological culture, research skills, and the ability to critically interpret media reality. Special attention is paid to the role of academic visions as conceptual guidelines for the development of modern media education aimed at integrating theoretical knowledge, applied skills, and research components into the structure of professional training of future media professionals. It is shown that academic visions function not only as declarative models of educational program development but also as effective mechanisms for designing a competence-oriented learning environment that combines educational, research, and professional practices. Emphasis is placed on analytical strategies as an important factor in shaping the professional and research competence of higher education students. The potential of content analysis, discourse analysis, comparative and longitudinal studies is revealed as tools for developing evidence-based thinking and a culture of working with information. The possibilities of using quantitative and qualitative methods of analysis in the educational process are summarized, and their role in forming the professional identity of a media professional as an analyst and researcher is outlined. The relationship between the practical orientation of modern media education and the need for systematic development of research and analytical competencies of future specialists is analyzed. The expediency of integrating analytical strategies and content analysis into educational programs as tools for implementing academic visions of training media professionals capable of responsible professional activity in the context of information risks and digital transformations is substantiated. It is proved that the combination of pedagogical, journalistic, and philological approaches in the structure of training contributes to the formation of a holistic professional identity, the development of critical thinking, ethical responsibility, and scientific-analytical culture of future media specialists. The prospects for improving media education programs toward strengthening the research component, using digital analytical tools, and implementing interdisciplinary educational models are determined.
